I dig this one ... Our agency has a good handle on creating fun emotionally engaging commercials. The music is perhaps the best part. In fact, we just rolled out a new tool that has tons of songs categorized by brand attributes and emotions to define what Kaiser Permanente's brand sounds like.

Felt Very Masculine Today

Brand strategist and mechanic—well mechanic today I guess.

I replaced the serpentine or drive belt on my 95 Jeep Wrangler today, felt good to figure it out and get a little dirt on my hands. Some of you may be laughing because that's not necessarily to challenging. But for me, it was a good exercise, I learned something and my Jeep is no longer screaming bloody murder.

I Just hope I can get the grease off before a presentation to business leaders tomorrow :)

Canceling my MagicJack

Okay, MagicJack is a great little device. Problem is it's a 50-50 shot that it'll work with your computer. It wouldn't work with my XP machine but would work with a Vista laptop. The XP machine was going to be dedicated to the MagicJack VOIP phone use. So that means if I couldn't get it to work on the XP machine then it did me no good.

I spent several hours trying to fix the problem with their technical support. Which is not very technical and for the most part not very supportive. You can't talk to anyone only chat. After speaking to several different techs it became apparent that they had a specific playbook. If the playbook didn't work, they suggest rebooting your modem in effect canceling the chat session and gives them an easy out since there is no way to speak to the same rep again. So the following transcript was my final frustrated attempt at fixing the problem.

Alas ... I'm sending it back.

Victoria: Now click on + sign next to USB and then find the two folders called "Vid1307", right click on one at a time and select delete.
Victoria: Now click on - Sign next to USB.
Victoria: Right click on Folder called USBSTOR and allow permissions.
Victoria: Now click on + sign next to USBSTOR.
Victoria: Find the folders called "CdRom&Ven_YMAX&Prod_MagicJack&Rev"
Victoria: and "Disk&Ven_YMAX&Prod_MagicJack&Rev"
Victoria: Right click on those one at a time and delete them.
Victoria: Now exit Regedit and then plug your magicJack in.
Shawn Stewart: okay hold on

Shawn Stewart: there are no folders called "Vid1307" in the USB folder

They take me through the whole playbook again and bring me back to this point where I start the whole thing over again. If that is the end of the line for the help you can offer. Please tell me. If so I need to know how to cancel my service subscription. I'm going to keep the device.
